lol that would be a neat emote.. we should group up sometime in-game. I think we'd do well in the same part :-)

I really think this year ANet should've added a Festivus Pole to the game lol.. That would be neat. A staff of the holidays...

lol, no one said anything that Yellow Snow not only takes away a condtion.. it gives disease to the target.... run by the target and guess what... now you BOTH have disease! Woo!

I wouldnt mind seeing Yellow Snow go down to 1 cast time.. but i just had a 10 win run and i was Dwayna maybe 3 out of the 10. And most of our games were 5-1

Yellow Snow removes a condition making it the only way to remove conditions in the Snowball fights. Hidden rock is for one snowball. Just throw a snowball before using yellow snow and you won't have a problem. Plus, it's random! Sometimes you'll be on Grenth, sometimes you'll be on Dwayna! I think it's fair already. It doesn't matter if you're on Dwayna or Grenth if your team can't work together. That's really what it comes down to.

Welcome to PvP. just because something is beatable doesn't mean it is balanced. kthnxbaii

gosh i hate this riverside crowd. all this man wants is a small, simple balance that could hugely increase the fun of snowball fights and everyone jumps in going OMG ITS NOT SERIOUS STFU HAVE FUN!

Avalanche = Target's head is being smashed against a wall. Target stops being retarded.

Yellow Snow = Target ally recovers from brain cancer and starts enjoying the game.

PS. it's meant to be fun, so ..HAVE FUN?

You're welcoming me to something I'm experienced in? Ok, I KNOW I'm going to regret asking you something which involves common sense, but how do you remove a condition? And how many condition removers does the Dwayna side have?

Just make avalanche affect a single target, change yellow snow to 1s cast and change the disease to poisen. I dont see why anyone thinks theres nothing wrong with avalanche.
I had 20+ consecs this morning, but avalanche is still vastly overpowered compared to yellow snow. This isnt whining or QQ'ing, its simply realising that one side has a bigger advantage.

I agree that Avalanche is superior to Yellow Snow, but who cares? Honestly, that makes winning with a team on Grenth's side more exciting. I doubt it's ever going to be changed so live with it and remember your "skillz."

Instead of balancing Avalanche and Yellow Snow, they need to figure out how to make Sins, Paras, and Rangers useful in the arena. I rarely find an occasion where their profession skill would be useful, if at all. Less so the Dervish and Mesmer, but they could use some changing too.

Rit owns, by the way. Play Rit = Win.

Yes, the class skills are imbalanced too. Sins, Paras, and Dervish are pretty useless... Ranger is questionable. But I didn't want to sound picky.

I'm really surprised to see the amount of hate I got for saying that Yellow Snow needs to be balanced with Avalanche. I even provided suggestions as how to buff Yellow Snow to fix it. I like the snowball fights. I'd like them even more if I wasn't given a handicap randomly every game. I don't want to "nerf Christmas" or think that "snowball fights are overpowered" or whatever other nonsense people are saying. And I don't understand the logic of saying that it's only a game and thus doesn't need to be balanced.

I still hope that ANet will take the time to give Yellow Snow a simple buff so that the snowball fights are more enjoyable for the remaining duration of the Wintersday festival.

I think the only solution to this problem is to sell Play On Dwayna's Side Packs in the online store.

If you think (insert profession here)'s special skill is bad, then just don't play that profession in snowball arena.

I was waiting for that one. The bearer of the cold hard truth arrives.

*Personally, my opinion is this.

Wintersday, and the fun festivals are meant to be, yes, fun, but that does not mean that they are perfect. Everything has the potential to be made better, and this includes Wintersday and all implied.

When it comes to Grenth Versus Dwayna, Dwayna definetly has the upper hand with crippling. Snaring is key in winning, if you know what you're doing. Yellow snow is another glyph that will cancel out yet another important skill, and won't help you much with it's two second cast time and then 1 second snowball cast time while you're being attacked by the Dwayna team member that used Avalanche on you in the first place. I think it could use another look.

To me, it's a tad annoying, as I'm grinding my gamer title in the arenas, and when I get on Grenth, I know my chance of losing just went up 50%.

Yeah, come on now ANet, the holiday events should be about skill not build, just like the rest of PvP. The "Gamer" title is important, and if this critical aspect of the game isn't evaluated and balanced immediately, I fear some players might be disappointed!
